Many Asians simply FEAR black MEN. They are afraid to be upset about black on Asian crime so they play it safe by being outraged at 25 year old White racial crimes against Asians that are extremely rare in America.

(User Info | Send a Message) | The big difference between Vincent Chin's death and Maria Aparece's and Huy Ngo's deaths was the treatment of the perps in the American justice system. (And FYI there have been other horrific hate crimes by Whites against Asians..)
Dexter Johnson's crime may indeed have been worse, there were not too many details that were released to the public but one that did is that Johnson raped Maria Sally Aparece in front of her boyfriend Huy Ngo and also taunted both of them during the rape. When the verdict was read for Dexter Johnson he lunged towards the victim's family. However the huge difference between the two cases is what happened to the perpetrators in the aftermath. Dexter Johnson is facing the death penalty (and considering it's in Texas it will likely be carried out...)

In other words Vincent Chin's life in the eyes of the court system (both state and federal..) effectively had very little worth. Asians understand that there are creeps out there who are willing to attack them based upon race, however when the justice system completely failed as in the case of Vincent Chin, one realizes that the issues regarding the American view of Asians goes well beyond a few psychos. |
