Re: Bigoted liberals? (Score: 1) by dilbert3999 on Monday, May 10 @ 16:25:13 EDT (User Info | Send a Message) | Which is arguably why left wing ideologues are more dangerous than right wing ideologues.
The Left gets a pass whether it's Senator "KKK" Byrd (Democrat) and his comments in a 2000 televised interview or Bustamente Cruz (Democrat) in his comments in a speech during Black History Month or Hilary and her Ghandi gas joke.
To be blunt I see a lot more danger and hypocrisy on the Left rather than the Right.
Strict constructionists of the US Constitution after all are less likely to strip away fundamental innate human rights whereas the "living breathing document" approach has consistently done so.
After all the "liberal" judges on the bench have ruled that 1000 people can't pool their money and run a TV/radio ad in a federal election the "conservative" judges ruled opposite and the "moderates" split.
Besides look at the treatment of Hinkle promoting an approved speaker Mason Weaver and his book It's OK to Leave The Plantation at Cal Poly.
Ironically the Left (like most colleges) deemed it offensive despite the self evident diversity of a white conservative promoting a black conservative. Thankfully FIRE got involved and it's settled now.
Feminism in general has devolved into using too much outright Marxist theory and instead of supporting equal rights/opportunity gone to a "what can I get from the gov't approach" similar to many groups left or right. |
