That said, Elaine is still one mean, *ss-kissing lapdog bych.
A personal account from a staff member of the House Ways and Means Committee where Elaine Chao was just there to testify on behalf of the Labor Department's '05 budget:
We just had what has been characterized as one of the most awful hearings that have ever occurred before the Committee. Labor Secretary Chao was in rare form as she "testified" on the President's FY '05 budget request for the department. She engaged in a yelling matches with at least 6 of our Members, including Rep. Rangel. She literally only answered 2-3 questions that we posed to her -- in fact, when asked one question she told the Memeber that she didn't see the point of the question and didn't answer it. She REFUSED to acknowledge that the Economic Report of the President was in fact the President's report -- she said that it was a report by the Council of Economic Advisors. When we pointed out that he signed the report, she indicated that it was not his report and that he didn't sign off on those numbers. She repeatedly mischaracterized our Members questions and then when we tried to correct her on the question, she loudly DEMANDED that she be allowed to answer the question. She told one Member of Congress that she did not appreciate the tone of voice that he was using with her (please note that he was not raising his voice ... at that moment). And she disavowed several guidance memos (many that we put in the Member's hands) and positions that her agency has taken on a number of issues -- her response was that we were simply not correct.

Isn't if funny how the only minorities the Republicans "elevate" are the whitewashed types (of all minority races). You know, the "minority" types that are white everywhere except for looks.

I reply: Three words (since I'm originally from Hawaii, this is personal). Senator Daniel Inouye. Read about him and learn.
Stupid republican tool.
